Delivered by an alliance (or team) of companies – comprising Melbourne Water, Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM), GHD and John Holland – the Sugarloaf Pipeline was completed five months ahead of schedule.
The Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance was responsible for all aspects of the project: gaining all necessary planning and environmental approvals, project management, community and stakeholder relations, designing and building the Sugarloaf Pipeline. At the peak of construction in June 2009, more than 1200 people were building the Sugarloaf Pipeline.
